So it's fairly evident that there's a new "News" page. Photo albums have also been updated to a google.com user-friendly version. Ditto the calendars.

I'm tired. I actually started working on this tonight as a whim, and now it's taken far too long. Cheerio, chops. ^^

Dear beloved JCC members,

It is I, your former webmistress, as if back from the dead. I'm not exactly sure how the website will be working from now on, but I felt it important to update all of the archives I should have been updating over last semester.

At the moment, I have updated the news archives, the members pages, the schedule archives, the anime night page, and the about and contact pages. I intend to also update some much overdue photo albums and get cracking on a better way to use the calendars & post news. With any luck, I can make the website more "I don't need to know HTML" friendly, if the neccessity for such tools arises.

So, if you're new to Wells or JCC, welcome! You're entering a fantastic place -- I can't think of a better place that I could have spent 4 years. And for everybody returning, I hope JCC is as kick-ass as ever, and I miss you all like whoa!

Anime Blitz

Hi all,

Sorry it's taken me so long to get around to this, but I hope that some of you have been considering becoming an officer for the JCC. If you're curious, these are the positions we have, and some job descriptions:

"President/Co-chair (with option for vice-president)
Acts as main coordinator of events with other officers, facilitates leadership within the club.

Vice President/Co-chair (optional)
Helps organize meetings with other officers, acts as right hand of President and shares duties.

Treasurer
Takes care of budget, reimbursements and any other financial matters. Secretary (with option for cooperation between a pair) Takes care of any sort of e-mail, minutes of meetings, written documentation and general communication within the whole of the club.

Public Relations Officer(s)
Updates the bulletin board in the hallway of clubs, advertises and takes photos of club events, and works towards the spread of campus awareness of JCC.

Also: "In order to run for office after the first semester, potential candidates must have been a member of the club for at least a semester and have shown considerable interest in assisting with activities and events. Prior to the first semester, requirements are that they must be active in the events of the club."

JCC Fairy Tale -- All involved

Hey guys.

Dave, Heather, and I went shopping for supplies yesterday, although it was difficult because only one person e-mailed me back.

ACTING PEOPLE:
We're meeting at 7:00 in the club hub to practice. It's really important everybody's there, on time. If you want to speak your lines (except for narrators), have them memorized by tonight. Bring scripts. ^^

COSTUMERS:
Let's meet at 6:00 in the club hub to start making costumes. We can continue through the rehearsal if you're not an actor/actress, and afterwards as well.

EVERYONE:
Bring any and all supplies you have that may help making costumes -- we may not use them, but heck -- who knows! Use your imagination, and bring whatever you think may be useful. Additionally, please bring at least 3 big, large, and/or humungous cardboard boxes (or at least any cardboard you can get your hands on) -- we'll need all we can get.

JCC Fairy Tale Costume makers -- IMPORTANT

So...sorry this is late notice-ish, BUT I haven't heard from anybody about the costumes yet, and...well...the van runs were pretty full when I went to sign up. Heather, Dave, and I are signed up for the 10:30AM van and the 1:00PM van back (b/c I have to be back on campus by 4:30 and the 3:00PM van would've gotten us back too late). There were only 3 slots when I went to sign up, and I really am sorry there weren't more available seats... :(

Also, I haven't heard back from any costumers, and due to the change in van times, I need to know by 9:00 AM tomorrow (Saturday) any supplies people have or they need for their costumes. As of now, I haven't heard from anybody in this regard. Even if you need nothing, please let me know this.

I checked out the Club Hub. Here's what they've got:

foam shapes (like bugs and flowers and stuff)

PLEASE let me know EVERYTHING you will require to make your costume, even if it's on this list, and other supplies you'd be willing to share if somebody needed them. I'll take care of what to buy/what we have, but I NEED TO KNOW WHAT TO GET!

We will hear hopefully soon about the community service at the schooly-place, w00t. So pay attention, kiddles.

THERE IS NO ANIME NIGHT CATCH-UP THIS SATURDAY because of the Pro-diggles. There will be Karaoke Night, though, because that'll start, like, prety much right when the Prods are finishing, so come in the mood to sing, mmmmmmmk? Mmmk. Saturday's catch-up will be rescheduled for the 21st (next saturday). Friday Anime Knights will continue as normal, tho, so don't freak out completely.

Anna's play was cast, and if you are in it, which hopefully you are, come to a rehearsal Sunday at 7pm in the Club Hubby.

ATTENTION! ACTORS/ACTRESSES/SCENE-PEOPLE
The meeting Sunday has been moved to Sunday at 7:00PM in the Club Hub.

ATTENTION! COSTUMERS & OTHER PEOPLES
We met tonight at dinner to discuss who's doing what costumes. Below is a list of characters followed by who's playing them and who's doing the costumes. If you were not at the meeting but want to help with costumes, choose a few characters that please you and contact the other people working on the costume to coordinate ideas. Also email me the same info.

Please contact the actor/actress of the part you're designing the costume for to find what they have that may work for the costume and describe your costume idea(s) to them.

Also, please email me by 11:00AM on Saturday with the design of the costume, any supplies you have that either you or other people might want to use when making costumes, and supplies you need to make the costumes you've designed.

A group of us is going for supplies on Saturday around noonish. So far I have Shannon, Molly, Dave, Heather, and me planned to go. If you want to come too, email me. I'll let you know when we're all signed up for the van. ^^

Hey guys! We talked about this at the meeting yesterday, but to recap if you forgot or to inform if you weren't able to make it:

COSTUMERS/SCENERIERS/PROP-MASTERS
We are meeting TONIGHT at 6:00pm (dinner time) in the big room you first walk into in the dining hall. Have a list of 5 characters you're interested in working on the costumes for. Come with ideas about materials you might need. I'm going shopping Saturday, we'll talk about who else might want to go and what times are good for all. ^^

ACTORS/ACTRESSES/VOICES/MIMES
We are meeting Sunday at 6:00 (after dinner) to go over the script. If you are a narrator, you can read from a script. If not, you DO NOT have to speak lines (except for perhaps an occassional "pssshhhh" water sound or rustling of leaves, etc), but you CAN. If you want to speak your lines, email the narrators (Oren, Heather, and me) so we know not to speak them. You MUST have your lines memorized by the Sunday rehearsal to make blocking etc easier on us all.

Sorry they're so late! These are the minutes for 4/4/07. First, remember to come to tonight's meeting and make sure to sign in! ALSO IF YOU ARE SIGNED UP FOR ANNA'S PLAY, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE TIME TO STAY AFTER TONIGHT'S MEETING TO DISCUSS IT!!!

Anime Blitz will be the first day of study break, May 12th. This may change if it's inconvenient to people, but for now, assume that's the date. Keep sending Dave ideas for anime, and make sure he has a way to get ahold of it. Once he has all the suggestions in, he'll send out an email asking for our votes on what to watch. Keep checking you emails for that.

We had exactly 12 people sign up for the Brooklyn trip, which is handy, because that's the exact number that want to go. If anyone else is dying to go and wasn't there to sign up, we may be able to get a seperate car, so don't lose hope! The cost is $15 and can be paid probably as you're getting on the van/car.

Because these minutes are soooper late, there's no point in me telling you about last week's Saturday showing of Anime Night catch-up, but I CAN tell you that this coming Saturday it'll be held in Leach basement.

Anna's written the script for her play for the Multicultural event (which is the 19th). If you are signed up for it, she will email you the script soon.

Mmmmk, zat's 'bout it. Cy'all tonight at 7, RIGHT? Right.

Because some people have asked (already!):

[1] The show (as far as I know) is on April 19th (but I don't know the time -- does anybody know?)
[2] It's perfectly fine for girl-people to play boy-people roles and boy-people to play girl-people roles if they want. I'm thinking the costumes will involve full-face masks for much of the characters so it won't matter. We can even change some of them (dog can be a girl, monkey a guy, etc etc). The only ones it *really* matters for are narrators 2 & 3. ^^

JCC -- Fairy Tale Play

Hey guys!

If you're interested in performing in the fairy tale, please send me an email by Wednesday with your top 5 character choices. Additionally, if you're interested in helping with costumes or props, shoot me an email as well. We'll meet to discuss this on Wednesday after the meeting. I should have the scripts ready for Wednesay (at the latest), but here's a list of characters and their descriptions:

Speaking Roles:
Narrator 1: Narrates the story (I'll be doing this one -- as writer I get top dibs ^^)
Narrator 2: Speaks all male character voices; must be able to provide voices that sound different
Narrator 3: Speaks all female character voices; must be able to provide voices that sound different
Large Roles:
Old Man: Momotaro's father; on stage a lot; narrated by Narrator 2
Old Woman: Momotaro's mother; on stage a lot; narrated by Narrator 3
Momotaro: "the Peach Boy"; on stage a lot; narrated by Narrator 2
Medium Roles:
Dog: travels with Momotaro; narrated by Narrator 2
Monkey: travels with Momotaro; narrated by Narrator 3
Pheasant: travels with Momotaro; narrated by Narrator 3
Akandoji: an evil demon; narrated by Narrator 2
Scenery Roles:
Cherry Tree/Akandoji's soldiers: tree stands on stage; soldiers run out of castle screaming
River 1: must make wooshing/running water sounds
River 2: must make wooshing/running water sounds
Peach Half 1/Bush: Peach Half must scream one line ("No! Don't cut me up! Aaaauuugghh!!"); bush is sniffed by dog
Peach Half 2/Castle: Peach Half must scream one line (see above); castle must lower a door

Essentially, any part narrated by narrator 2 or 3 could be spoken by the character if he/she so wishes, but there will be quite a few lines to learn then. Also, the parts doubled up (cherry tree/soldiers; peach/bush; peach/castle) don't necessarily have to be doubled up, but depend on number of people we have. If worst comes to worst, the narrators could act as the river or we can double up on more roles (old man/dog; old woman/pheasant; tree/soldiers/akandoji; momotaro; only 1 narrator; peach/castle; river/bush)

At any rate, let me know your top 5 character choices, whether you would prefer to speak or not or be scenery or not, and whether you're interested in working on costumes/scenery or not.

If you want to go to Sakura Matsuri, and you weren't at tonight's meeting to let us know, please respond to this email as soon as you get it. The reason is that as of now, we have exactly 12 people who want to go, and that's conveniently the exact number of spots we have on the van. We can take another 4-5 people in one car, but you need to let us know if we'll need to do that! So, if you want to go, and you aren't signed- up, respond NOW. Hey kids, what's up? You don't know? Well, lucky for you, I do, so listen up!

Sakura Matsuri is April 29th, the Sunday of Spring Weekend. We are taking one Wells van, and Gabe Cleveland has volunteered his car and driving skills and can take five people besides that. If anyone else has a car and is willing to drive, pleeease let an officer know. You will be reimbursed for gas. If anyone wants to go on the trip, it will cost $15, and we will hopefully (if we can get more people to drive) be able to take 22 people. Come to next week's meeting, becaues there will be a sign-up sheet there for anyone that wants to go.

We have 2 Anime Nights to make up, so starting NEXT Friday, we will have showings both Friday and Saturday for 2 weeks until everything is made up.

The community service project will probably be an after-school program for 5th and 6th graders and it will run from 2:30-3:30. It will be very simple, with only a few "stations," such as a presentation on a day in the life of a Japanese middle-schooler, writing kids' names in Katakana, and origami. We haven't decided on a date yet.

We also discussed doing a play that Anna wrote about a Japanese fable for the Multicultural events. If you have other ideas or talents that are multicultural, sign up!

And, lastly, Dave has been getting more people emailing him with ideas for anime to blitz, but make sure, that when you send him ideas, you have a way for him to get ahold of the anime. If you have it or know where it can be downloaded, that's perty helpful. Also, the blitz will be sometime during study break.

Sakura Matsuri

Hey guys,

April is nearing quickly, and we're going to start finalizing plans for Sakura Matsuri. As of now, we have a van and a driver (our lovely advisor, Heather Mead), and we'll be able to take 12 members. Those members will be asked for a small amount of money to help cover the costs of the trip (between $10 and $15). If, however, more than 12 people want to go, the club could reimburse people for gas money (save your receipts) if someone was willing to take people in a carpool. Is anyone who owns a car willing to do this?

Hey kids! Here's the scoop!

There will be an absence of Anime Night tomorrow (Friday). Also, we won't be having regularly scheduled encore anime showings (they used to be on Sundays) anymore. If you by yourself need to catch up on things, you can borrow Elizabeth's hard drive. Just ask her and all. Thievery is not supported by the JCC. This will be taken on a case-by-case basis, too, so if there are a bunch of people that need to catch up, let her know by Friday and she'll have the encore thing on Sunday.

Dave will email us all soon to give us potential dates for the blitz-y thingy. It won't happen, though, if we don't have something to watch! Email Dave with ideas, kids! Do it now.

Start bringing money to anime nights, because the snacks and such that Dave ordered are in and waiting for you to give them some lovin'. By that I mean buy them and eat them.

Friday's anime night will not be rescheduled, as tonight is Mainly 80s (which you should go to!), and I have to work. We will have the usual encore tomorrow at noon in Cleveland. If we cannot get the projector working, we might be huddling around some alternative view-screen device (like a laptop), but the show must go on. Karoake Night Conflict....

So Saturday night, the athletic department is doing some kind of karaoke contest up on the Student Union...So I wondered, did we still want to have Karaoke Night down in Clevelend too then? I mean, theirs is like a contest where you had to sign up like weeks ago, so obviously not everyone is going to participate, but still might like to sing, therefore might enjoy JCC's event...

I just wondered what you guys all thought, cause I'm still willing to run it if you think we might still have interest. (Technically, we weren't supposed to have it this week anyway, cause we had it last week, but I was going to do it on Saturday anyway because it's still a novelty and thought it might generate some more interest. ) Let me know what you guys think, if you would want to go, or if you know other people who would like to go to karaoke in cleveland.

Hey kats. So...
Wednesday we discussed possibly having a campus event to celebrate the Buddha's birthday in April. We are looking for ideas for activities, so start thinking about this for next Wednesday's meeting.

Also, if we opened the Origami workshop to the public, we could count is as another community service activity. However, we aren't sure about this yet because Anna's daddy typically hold sessions for only about 20-30 people. We'll decide on this later!

Anime night for the week of spring break will have to be rescheduled because of... well, spring break.

Everyone email Dave if you have suggestions for anime to blitz! He says make sure the series/season isn't more that 26 episodes.

And lastly, there is an officer's meeting this Monday at 12:30. We will discuss the community service project we wanted to do with the schools.

So. All in all this was a very inconclusive email. I guess that means you should show up to next week's meeting.

We had to return the $1000 that we grieved for back to Collegiate, because the Taiko drummers never got back to us. =(

With our definite $700.14 budget, David is reordering snacks and such for us to sell. And... no, he's not using the whole budget on snacks... Rather, it will be used partially for our community service!

What will our community service be? I will tell you!!! We want to do a Japanese Culture day with a local elementary school (Union Springs I believe). Anna had a nifty idea that we could adapt a Japanese fable as a skit and perform it. We could also do rotating stations like mini-workshops. Ideas for stations included painting a traditional mask, origami, writing names in katakana, dying scarves, and a mock day in a Japanese school. If you have any more ideas for events, feel free to bring them up at next week's meeting! We will need a majority of the club to participate for it to count as a community service.

The Brooklyn trip is still a go, BUT, we only have 1 van as of now. That means that about 10 people could go. Since we aren't getting money for this, each person attending would have to pay a few (10-20) bucks.

We're still looking for anime to show at the porn night we're co-hosting. If you have anything, or have a friend who has anything, or have a friend with a long-lost cousin's deceased wife's brother's dog's puppy's owner who has anything... email Dave. Don't tell him to his face because he says he will forget.

You may recall voting on a grievance for the Japanese Culture Club last semester. We asked for $1,000.00 to bring in taiko drummers for a cultural music event open to the entire campus. We have attempted on several occasions to contact the company with whom we had been hoping to work, but we have not heard back from them since December. Unfortunately, we will not be able to share this exciting event with you, so we have returned the $1,000.00 to collegiate.

Rrright... So here's what happened at today's meeting, peeps.

Try to come to meetings as often as possible. We're starting a sign-in sheet to keep track of active members, so if you're not there to sign it... well, then...

The budget came back from Collegiate. Hopefully, if we correct some mistakes, we'll end up with about $700.

Karaoke night will start a week from Saturday. Tell people. Speaking of Saturdays, there is an awesome show called the Vagina Monologues happening this Saturday and Sunday which you should totally try to come to! (I'm in it)

Anna's daddy is coming on Saturday, April 21st to give his Origami lecture, yay! It shall be from 2-5 in the Center of Sommer and it'll be wicked!!!!!

We'll know by Friday if the Taiko Drummers are a'comin,' but if we don't hear from them, then sadly, we'll be giving all the hard-earned greivance money back to Collegiate. Ah, well, maybe another time...

We considered holding an International Day for area schools as our community service project. We need to get a majority of the club to help out with this for it to count, and we want it to count (duh), so keep your ears and schedules open for more info on this.

Elizabeth mentioned the idea of co-hosting a Sex Collective/JCC anime porn viewing... sometime... and it seemed to get positive feedback. If you have anime you think should be included in this, let Elizabeth or Dave know.

We're going to have to postpone the first Karaoke night until next Saturday, as there are some schedule conflicts. If you're looking for something to do, check out the Gospel Choir concert in Barler at 7:30 pm.

Sorry to all who couldn't read the minutes last week - I'm sending this from the actual webmail site this time so hopefully it'll work for you. Ok, so here goes!

Heather Mead is our new club advisor, which is cool 'cause she was, like... President last semester. Totally wicked.

Twelve Kingdoms Season 2 will start not this Friday but NEXT Friday, and keep checking your email because Dave said he'd send an email out about season 1...

To remind y'all, the Welcome Back Party is 6-8 on Saturday in Cleveland!!! Oh boy!

The last minutes I sent out said that Karaoke Nights are at 6, and, well... they're not. They're at 8. Sorry, I'm an idiot, I know.

Dave has taken over planning for the Taiko Drummers, and things are still sketchy, unfortunately, but stay tuned, we should hear from them soon.

Last night we proposed making the Sakura Matsuri trip a one day (Sunday, to be exact) event, because it just happens to fall on Spring Weekend. This would cost each person about 15 to 20 bucks for transportation. This'll be discussed in more detail to come, but keep this idea in your heads and think on it.

Anna's daddy holds Origami workshops, so as a club event, we were thinking of hosting (hehe... no pun intended) him here, and that seemed to get some good response, so look for more info on that in future meetings.

Lastly there is a Rep Council meeting February 15th at 7 in the chapel that the officers should try to make it to if possible.

Hi all,

Welcome back! We've had our first meeting of the semester, and despite being almost painfully long, we've gotten a good start on this semester's activities.

For those of you who don't know (and didn't read the minutes), our regular meetings will be held on Wednesdays at 7pm in Faculty Parlors. So, if you want to be kept in the loop on JCC activities, or if you want to suggest some ideas of your own (please do!), stop by, and we'll try to keep it shorter from now on ;-)

Now, I would really like to get a good estimate on how many active members would be interested in attending the Brooklyn Botanic Garden's Sakura Matsuri on 4/28 and 4/29.

Happy new semester, welcome new members, and welcome back returning members!
To sum up last night’s meeting…

Meetings have been moved from Thursdays to Wednesdays at 7 PM.

We have a new Collegiate rep, Jess Gleason! Her alternate will be Renee Kusse.

Last semester, Anime Night seemed to conflict with a lot of on-campus events, so this semester it has been moved to Friday from 8-12. That’s at night, folks…. Elizabeth has some fansubs to show, so be there or be square.
There will be encore matinees Sundays from 12-4 PM for those unfortunate souls who can’t make it to Friday’s showing, or for peeps who would simply like to watch it all again. To recap, we are showing Full Metal Panic! Wolf’s Rain, Berserk, Ouran High School Host Club, and Twelve Kingdoms season 2.
Might I add that Twelve Kingdoms won’t be played for the first couple of weeks in order to let others catch up on the first season. If you are one of those “others” come to the smoker’s lounge from 8-12 on Saturdays. Ok? Ok.

DDR Nights will be Wednesdays at 9PM, and guess what? We’re getting the Sommer Center RESERVED! Aren’t you excited? Me too.

The Club Fair is Thursday from 11:30-1:30 in the Dining Hall. If you have anime plushies or any other paraphernalia (assuming it’s appropriate…) please bring it! We will have DDR throughout the fair, so you all can show off and attract new members with your hot dance moves!

Our Welcome Back par-taaay will be on the 10th, which is a Saturday, from 6-8 in our beloved Cleveland. We discussed having Karaoke and DDR and serving a sushi platter, edamame and wasabi peas. We have another meeting before the party, so if you have any last-minute ideas for shizz to include, you can bring it up then or email one of your officers.

Speaking of officers, officer meetings will be at 12:30 every other Wednesday. So… starting a week from this Wednesday (let’s see, that’s… Oo! Valentine’s Day, the 14th!), officers should meet in the south wing of the Dining Hall. That’s the one closest to the door. You’re welcome.

Any news on the Taiko drummers, you ask? Well… no, not exactly…. Elizabeth is picking up where Yuko left off and is trying to set up a date for them to come as well as talking with the collegiate treasurer, so hopefully we’ll hear more about that soon.

Suggestions for activities to do this semester included a Karaoke Night (personally, I give that a w00t). SO! That’ll start 2 Saturdays from today (the 16th) and continue in a biweekly fashion at 6PM.

Lastly, and perhaps most excitingly, Elizabeth introduced the idea of Sakura Matsuri in Brooklyn!!! She’ll send an email out detailing all that, but to get you all excited and whatnot, I just thought I’d mention that they’ll have Taiko drumming, cooking demos and tea ceremonies!!! Oh man, I’m so excited! Ok. Well. That’s finally all.

This is just a reminder that you all need to email me your anime night votes by midnight on Sunday. Also, I have had several people ranking only four series. For your vote to be counted you must rank ten of the series. The reason for this is that your votes are weighted by rank and then averaged. Any series that isn't voted for takes a big hit, so everyone needs to vote for the same number of series.

Also, our lovely webmistress Anna has updated the JCC website with the information contained in all the emails. She has also kindly alerted me to the fact that youtube videos of Gankutsuou have been removed. Unfortunately, I cannot find any other links for you. Now, we need to narrow that down quite a bit (we can probably only show 4 of them). I have put together the list with a synopsis for each anime, and links to trailers and episodes. For those of you who have dial-up, you don't have to watch all of each episode. BUT, I would appreciate it if you would watch at least 5-10 minutes of each anime. It's a great list, so give them all a chance.

So, what you need to do is decide what series you like the most, and rank (not rate) them from 1-10, one being the best. Email me your votes by midnight on Sunday, January 14th.

Hey ya'll. I finally got around to updating the website. There's a new photo album (the end of year party fall '06 album on the photos page) and the news page is updated.

If you're an officer (particularly if your picture is on the member's page with a Latin-esque profile next to it), please email me within a week with your name, position, any nicknames you may have (and aren't afraid to reveal to the public), your major (or intended major or undeclared -- whatevs), minor (ditto), dorm of dwelage, and any other fun exciting information that you don't mind putting in your profile. Hometown, fav color, fav animal, most embarassing moment, a favorite quote, etc etc. If I don't hear back from you by the time I start working on these (or you don't send enough information) I'll have to rely on my memories and on facebook, and, if those aren't enough, well...I'm a creative sort. I'm sure I can think of something. ;)

Dave and I have been talking about plans for next semester, and we realized that if we could set the schedule for anime night before going back to school, could show more anime. The thing is, we'd really like your help in making the line-up. Basically, tell us what you have or what you want to see. Just a note

Hey everybody,

As we start finals week, and start cramming like mad, I just wanted to send a note of thanks for everything you've done all semester. The club has grown like mad since my freshman year, when at the time it was a nice group of like, 8 people, who got together to marathon anime and do origami and calligraphy. It's been a while since that, haha!

What I really wanted to say, though, is that it couldn't have been fun without all you guys. :) Our weekly meetings, even, were wild and crazy and pretty damn hilarious.

You all made my little freshman dreams come twue....*sniff!*

Thanks for the surprise (though I'm sorry I acted shell-shocked, lol), it was really sweet.... :)

And I don't know how to end this so, um, have a great finals week and a warm Christmas!! I hope next year's as much fun for you all (I know it will be)!!

I wanted to see if anyone was available to sign in for Jcc and attend collegiate on Thursday at 8:15. I won't be able to go as Barler is hosting a Nachtmusik and I have to be there to record. Hey everyone!

I hope you all had fantastic Thanksgivings! In an effort to avoid doing homework on break, I decided to update the JCC site (http://aurora.wells.edu/~jcc). I mean, it's only been since what... October 12? Golly gee! It needed updating!

Some changes include:
**an updated news archive and news page
**an updated schedule page for November & December
**an updated members page with our new treasurer -- David Hicks!
**an updated links page

What I don't have but drastically need, though, are PICS from this semester's events. If you have any (like on facebook) let me know and I'll go snatch 'em and make up an album. If they're not on facebook or anywhere online let me know and I can get you a means of getting them to me (send you another email address, come by with a flash drive/blank CD, etc).

Also, any artwork would be really appreciated. I don't think we have much from this semester, and that's just...it's just sad. *wipes tear from eye*

Anyway...yeah. These are the updates. And now I'm off to watch TV Land and its Three's Company wonderment. La la la...

If you missed the meeting tonight, read this and see what's happening!!

First of all, the collegiate has granted us $1000 to invite taiko performing company. WOOOOHOOOOOOOO!!!

Now, about tomorrow's International Sampling; JCC is going to provide Temaki-zushi, but in order to do that, we need to prepare it first (obviously). If you are free tomorrow at 2:30PM and willing to help out club, PLEASE COME TO FACULTY PALORS!!! It's not that difficult, but it DOES need to be finished by 4:30PM.

Last but not least--
Yes, this weekend is Semi-formal. But is there anime night?
The answer is.....YES. There will be anime night.
So whenever you want to break away from dancing, come to Cleaveland!!!

Hello all.
So, we requested collegiate to give us $1000 for Taiko Drummers&Fuyu Matsuri fund. We will hear from them soon, hopefully!

Speaking of Fuyu matsuri(December 2nd)--
We are thinking about following events:
-Wasabi sushi eating contest
-DDR
-Face Painting
-Snack sale
-Origami
-Art&Craft sale (we have key chains and scarves)
Any other suggestions? E-mail!! We'll talk about it more next week.

As you may know already, Campus Involvement&JCC's "Rocky Horror Picture Show" is TOMORROW in Sommer Center.
If you have nothing to do: PLEASE COME TO SOMMER CENTER @ 8:30 TO HELP SET UP!! We need you.
The event begins at 9:00 with Japanse Horror, "One Missed Call", followed by anime "Magnetic Rose", then finally, "Rocky Horror Picture Show".

There is Anime Night on Saturday as usual.

Well, that's it.
Many of us are having post-midterm stress, but maybe this weekend will be a good time to relieve stress. COME HAVE FUN.

Hi guys...

First of all, I apologize for the tardiness in writing a minute...! Now, I will quickly get to the point so that people who missed the meeting will know what's new in JCC.

-NEXT FRIDAY-
JCC and Campus Involvement (possibly Sex Collectives too?) will have Japanese Horror Film & Rocky Horror Picture Show showing.
"Chakushin Ari" ("One Missed Call") 8:00 or 9:00ish (sorry--we'll get back to you on exact time soon).
Also, we will show a short anime flick from "Memories" before Rocky Horror begins.
"Rocky Horror Picture Show": Midnight-ish.
*Costumes are ENCOURAGED.

We are thinking about making holloween snacks, but again, we will let you know more details later.
ANY SUGGESTIONS? LET US KNOW.

Sorry Chops, but I'm not feeling up to running DDR night tonight. And since only 2 or 3 people usually end up coming anyway, I figured it wouldn't really matter if I cancelled it. So, aside from me being a dork and completely forgetting about Otsukimi and Anime Night the day after my birthday (don't know where that came from), I am still attending Yaoi Con in... oh, four days. Four days from this moment I will have been on an airplane for one hour and ten minutes.

So, this is my friendly reminder to those of you who wanted favors and have not yet specified (or donated) to me to please do so before Friday. Because after Thursday is done, it will be too late.

Hello~
As usual, here's what we talked about during the meeting.

-Our "OTSUKIMI" is scheduled on this SATURDAY, 6:00PM, CLEAVELAND HALL.
Come for Karaoke, various Japanese harvest-themed food including dango (those of you who don't know what that is should have already found one reason to come!).
**IF YOU ARE AVAILABLE ON SATURDAY NOON/1:00PM....Come help prepare food in Faculty Parlor Kitchen. The time may change, so keep your eyes open for e-mails from our club president, Heather Mead!

-KARAOKE REVOLUTION will take place on Fridays (bi-weekly) in Sommer Center. More information will be sent out soon in the future via e-mail. So make sure to check that out too.

That's about it!
Anime Night is back this week, starting at 8:00PM on Saturday.

Hi all,

We have a meeting today (Thurs) at 10 PM in Faculty Parlors. Be sure to come, IF YOU WANT TO BE IN THE YEAR BOOK AND FEEL SPECIAL. That's right--We are going to have our yearbook photo taken tomorrow during/after the meeting.

Also, Heather will bring some Japanese breads, pocky and ramune to the meeting.
Breads are only $2.50 each....!! They are really tasty, and, they need to be sold before the break. SO BRING MONEY!!!!!!!
